Life At Woodlarks
“Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care and support for people with a range of disabilities.”
At The Woodlarks Centre we are as concerned as the rest of the community about Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and are following the latest UK Government advice to help safeguard the welfare of our residents, employees, volunteers, supply chain and of course, associated families and friends. As Covid-19 continues to spread, we are actively monitoring the situation and implementing the following steps to prepare and shield our customers and ourselves from as much of the impact as possible. Currently, the following measures of precaution are in effect:
• We have cancelled all our community events
• Our staff are being extra vigilant with hand washing before and after every care
• We have postponed all non-essential meetings and visitors at the centre.
• The use of Skype and other tools for secure virtual conference calls, to ensure advice from GPs, district nurses will be used plus our residents can keep in touch with family and friends.
We will of course continue to monitor the situation and adjust our plans accordingly. We thank you for continuing support. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have.
We wish you and all those you care for to stay healthy and safe.
The Woodlarks Centre offers 22 spacious bedrooms, all with en suite facilities. Each room comes equipped with a bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers but residents can if they wish, bring their own furniture. In addition, they are able to decorate the room with their personal belongings. The Woodlarks Centre is very much ‘home’ to our residents and is certainly noticeable as you walk around the building that each bedroom is different, personal and beautifully decorated. In addition, the corridors in the living quarters are decorated by stunning pieces of art work created by residents.
The bedrooms are light and airy and many have a view of the extensive grounds. Residents are able to move around the building as they wish and although accommodation is on 2 floors, there is a lift, making the whole building fully accessible. Many of the bedrooms have a telephone and Wi Fi access to the internet is available throughout the building. Residents have the option of purchasing a Sky package if they so wish. Call bells are positioned in each bedroom and each bathroom.
Life at Woodlarks
At The Woodlarks Centre we specialise in providing a very wide range of care services.
Whatever the level of care needed, we aim to ensure our residents are in comfortable surroundings, with others whose company they enjoy, and that they receive the most appropriate care for their needs.
We assess each resident’s requirements, and work with our residents, their family, friends and medical professionals to ensure everyone is confident with the care we provide. We consider the needs of each individual and plan their care according to those needs.
Most importantly, we are able to offer a continuity of care for changing conditions. At The Woodlarks Centre, regardless of the type of care you receive, you will have access to all our facilities and services.
